We had an awesome weekend. Beautiful times with wonderful people. A party, a BBQ and another party. The rocket cake was a success (will blog that party soon). Even though there were some tricky times (like all the other kids eating ice creams and the wee guy being given chips with milk in them) I'm choosing instead to just remember how much fun was had by all. Everyone had a blast on the water slide! And last night the BBQ was at an old friend's place to celebrate their new deck. She and I have been friends since we were in nappies! The boys were pretty great considering how whacked they must have been after a couple of hours of sliding, sunshine and party food. They pottered about eating chippies, dancing and playing with some new wee friends.

That is one cool waterslide! I can appreciate the issues over children who are dairy-free (ours was not anaphylactic, ours was tummy upset, sore tummys and bad sleep). So hard at parties and even the most well-meaning friends don't know all the fine-print to look for on labels. And a certain family member who put a mouthful of cheese sauce in my dairy-free daughters mouth and thought I was nuts for making her spit it out (what was left of it) - argh!!
